Lesson 6 BOATS IN THE CONTEXT OF LANDSCAPE
In this lesson, we will talk about boats in the context of the landscape. As landscape painters, we often come across boat scenes. The success of these scenes very much depends on the painter's ability to integrate boats into the subject. Sometimes it may be quite challenging, not only because of the particular shape of the boat, but also due to the difficulties of its integration into a composition.
Compared to the large shapes of any landscape, the boats usually we use, as small shapes to emphasize a point of interest, to enhance the desired perception of a place.
I suggest looking closer at all aspects of boat drawing/painting and its integration.
