Lesson 8 COMBARRO
WATCH THE TRAILER
Working on this episode brought my memories back to my Spanish trip in the summer of 2019.
I was traveling from the south of France to Portugal, taking a very picturesque coastal road of northern Spain. I had a chance to visit a lot of beautiful locations in Cantabria, Asturias, and Galicia.
One of them is an old fishing village – Combarro. It is situated on the Galician coast in the north-west of Spain. I couldn’t resist stopping here for a couple of days for sketching and painting.
This village is famous for its small houses - hórreos: traditional Granaries which local inhabitants have used for keeping food, etc. Now it has become a tourist attraction, but for us painters, it could be a great painting subject.
